Microsoft Security Essentials Rocks

If you are concerned about your computer's security, which you should be, then get yourself a free copy of Microsoft Security Essentials. I have been using this awesome anti-virus software for many years now. If there is anything that Microsoft has done right - then it is this program here. Microsoft Security Essentials has both a superficial scan and a deep scan to inspect your drives and make sure there is no malware of any kind. Have a great day everyone. Best Regards, Keith

Why 365 Great Affirmations?

My 2007-2008 e-book 365 Great Affirmations is a tribute to positive thinking and hope. According to great thinkers and public speakers like the 14th Dalai Lama, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Oprah Winfrey, and Joel Osteen, it is the AFFIRMATIONS PROCESS that is the true essence and method for positive change. Anything that helps after that - monetary and human resources - are all the result of our INITIAL AFFIRMATION and desire for change. Once we truly affirm that which we aspire for, then change can happen. However, this must manifest in our heart and mind, honestly and earnestly. Then, and only then, will the affirmations process work. And please note - affirmations are only true for positive, loving, and compassionate paths. Anyone on paths of revenge, hatred, or anger will not succeed with the affirmations process. Negativity is purely self-destructive. Only positive energy and positive affirmations are supported by the universal energies around us.

Why 365 Amazing Writing Tips?

I wrote this e-book using a common approach - one solid writing tip per day for a year's duration. Writing is NOT an easy process. It has taken me years to be able to sit and spontaneously write from my mind and head. Writing takes training and discipline and inspiration. If you use this e-book over a year's time, you will come out on top. You will emerge as a better writer because each and every tip addresses something important - an English grammar rule or insight, an action verb that will finally connect important terms in your content, and also Technical Writing tips and insights that will help you to work with technical information, which is most prevalent today. Remember - practice makes perfect. And, with this e-book, you allow yourself that very journey from mediocre writing to exceptional writing. It's like playing the guitar - gotta do your scales each and every day. Cheers.

Word of the Day: Belong

The word "belong" is an intransitive verb meaning "to be a part, attribute, or adjunct, or function of someone or something". So, the word belong is used to shed meaning on the significance of a person, object, idea, place, or thing. Here are a few examples: A boat belongs in the water. A car belongs on the street or in the parking garage. The bird belongs to the avian species. This musician belongs to that rock and roll band. This flower belongs to that species of plants. Oranges belong in the fruits and vegetables section of your local marketplace. Cheers, Keith

Daredevil

A person who is a "daredevil" is someone who is "dangerously reckless". A daredevil is not necessarily a bad person. Rather, a daredevil is one who is challenging natural forces in some way. Evil Knevil  - the famous motorcyclist of the 1970s and 1980s - who tried to rocket-jump his bike across the Snake River Canyon in Idaho - was a daredevil for having tried that. In fact, when he failed the jump, he broke over 100 bones in his body. Sometimes daredevils get lucky and then perform something unique for the first time, but indeed the odds are against them, as nature favors nobody. The movie "Daredevil" starring Ben Affleck was about a secret night-time hero who stood beside and behind the victims of crime. His actions were definitely those of a "daredevil". Indeed, some interesting words eventually become the titles of famous Hollywood movies.

Buddha: Beyond Cosmos, Beyond Chaos

Dear Readers: This blog is mostly about English grammar, writing, software, technology, and positive thinking. However, I would like to add that there are spiritual principles that will help us all - modesty, honesty, patience, tolerance, wisdom, compassion, and things like this. About three months ago I finally got around to writing a commentary on a legendary Buddhist text called The Dhammapada which is a summary of the Buddha's teachings. The book is not to be taken literally but rather metaphorically and symbolically. In this way, you can apply the Buddha's sayings to your specific life situation to better things in ways you feel most appropriate. My commentary Buddha: Beyond Cosmos, Beyond Chaos cites passages that have meant alot to me over the years and that possess real potential to create positive change. When you see the connection between perrenial spiritual wisdom and everyday living, you are well on the path to success, happiness, peace, and health. This book is especially dedicated to teachers and entrepreneurs and healthcare workers whose job it is to shape society's thought processes and provide support for people in all kinds of dynamic ways. Cheers and Namaste, Keith

Word of the Day: Composure

The word composure means calmness - especially of mind. When someone has composure, he or she is not only quiet physically, but mentally as well. In the eyes of spiritual men and women, this is a great virtue to have. Many times we cannot control what happens around us in our physical surroundings, however we can control how we choose to react to things. So, composure is a positive reaction - a way to react with a sense of calmness even though there could be a difficult matter at hand.
